Nature’s Beach Abstracts

Sometimes it’s necessary to look at the smaller parts of a bigger picture. Nature excels in artistry. These were taken at Minn Beach, Burra, Shetland.

The Lows And Highs Of Photography

These images were taken at Burra. The first was from the safe ground level of Minn Beach and the second necessitated lying flat as I was so near the cliff edge.

Beauty And The Beach

This beautiful docile horse stood facing me with the low bright sun shining through it’s windblown mane. Onwards to Minn Beach and a bottle filling with sand as the wind was whipping up little sand storms. I waited for the wind to cease a little before taking a shot.

It Shore Is Pretty

The sea around our shores can be awesome to watch in stormy weather. But beautiful doesn’t always have to be big. These small waves catching the low sun at Gulberwick look pretty appealing to me.

Meal Beach, Hamnavoe, Shetland.

I saw the sun glowing near the horizon in the direction of Burra. Decided it might be nice at Meal Beach so off I went. The waves were coming right up the beach and you couldn’t have walked along it very far. So, like the coward that I am, I stayed on the embankment.
