Artwork In Nature

Dandelion seeds after a shower. The sun shone creating little prisms and background bokeh. We sometimes need to take a closer look at natures miniature artwork.

Bluebell Bokeh

I have to say, if you haven’t guessed already, that two of my favourite things in life are sunsets and bluebells. Great when you get to photograph them both on the same day. The rain had fallen on these bluebells and when the sun came out the sparkles created a lovely bokeh.

“The miracles of nature do not seem miracles because they are so common. If no one had ever seen a flower, even a dandelion would be the most startling event in the world.” ~ Anonymous.

Common Beauty

Celandine and daisies. Oh, that we could be as reliable as these flowers. Coming up year after year to bless us with their presence.

Soft Yellow Daffodil

On the same day as the previous two photos I found this daffodil growing all by itself on a small patch of ground in the village (Hamnavoe).
